Alright, I am a hopeless book fanatic. I love reading and I read at least an hour every single day. Over time, I’ve discovered that romance is definitely my favorite genre. I have ran out of books and KU is not really helpful in finding new ones. I am quite picky, though. Sometimes I read a book description and immediately decide it’s not for me, only to end up loving it three months later. That happened with Unbreak Me by Reese Rivers.
I seem to gravitate toward stories with abused or emotionally scarred main characters and very fierce, protective love interests. I enjoy emotional intensity and strong bonds.
Enemy to lovers is fine if the storyline is compelling, but I’ve realized I prefer the instant, intense love kind of connection — the deep, consuming bond that happens quickly and feels inevitable.
I don’t really enjoy academy settings. Even college settings can sometimes bother me. However, if the overall story is strong enough, I can overlook that. The books i have read and enjoyed so far are:
Finding Him: Thoreau (Books 1–4) – Mary Ann Weir
Five Fangs (Books 1–5) – Mary Ann Weir
The Beta’s Heart- Mary Ann Weir
Gamma and Omega – Mary Ann Weir
Feral Omega, Unhinged Alphas, Psychopack – Lenore Rosewood
Runaway Omega – Ember L. Nicole
Oh, Sacred Dark – Marina Vivancos
Runt, Rest – Rose Carver
Carnage Island- Lexi C. Foss
Spark of Fate, Mark of Stars, Bond of Destiny- Tessa Hale
Twilight of Embers, Midnight of Ashes, Dawn of Flames – Tessa Hale
Crescent Kingdom, Eclipsed Empire, Rising Reign – Tessa Hale
Flame King’s Captive, Flame King’s Bride, Flame King’s Queen – Chloe Castaine
Burning Embers, Roaring Flames, Blazing Inferno – Katie May
Flirting with Monsters – Eva Chase
Hunted, Assembly – Erica Woods
Silent Desires, Silent Betrayal – Shona Knight
Whispers of Salvation, Letters to the Lost, Fighting Shadows – N.E. Stevenson
Lost, Forgotten, Discovered, Pursued, Found – M. Sinclair

Based on your list you might want to check out C.M. Nascosta’s work – she does the protective/possessive dynamic really well with traumatized characters who find healing through intense bonds
