What are some books that give a sense of what it was like to be a Native American prior to the arrival of Europeans?

I LOVED the book *1491* by Charles C Mann. It goes over all of the Americas and pieces together what is known about native people. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of written history, but it’s still fascinating.
