i am looking for literary fiction where a girl is trying to figure out if she is a lesbian. something where she may not respect men and cannot see herself being with one forever but enjoy the intimacy. whereas she has never been intimate with women but at her core she wants to be with them. she THINKS.
i just finished We Do What We Do in the Dark by Michelle Hart, and it was dreadful in my opinion. completely useless in the middle with an author who doesnt trust her readers to pick up on nuance or references.

Blue is the warmest color is a good graphic novel. The movie is like… umm… different…

Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid
_Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit_ by Jeanette Winterson
Another option, more subtle and literary, is Conversations with Friends. It doesn’t label the sexuality question heavily, but it captures that dissonance you’re describing: intimacy with men that doesn’t quite land, and a pull toward women that feels more foundational than acted upon.
