I chose the romance tag, but I’m also interested in YA or general fiction.
The Olympics have me craving a read involving winter sports. Preferably ice skating in some capacity. However, I’m also up to other winter sports as well. I’ve been reading stuff with heavier plot/lots of tense or stressful moments lately and the seasonal depression would enjoy something… lighter on those elements, though it doesn’t have to be free of them. If romance, mxf relationships OR mxm / fxf if the cover doesn’t give away that it’s a gay relationship because I live in a very conservative Christian household and while I certainly don’t agree with that homophobia I also can’t afford to get kicked out at the moment (* cries in broke college student *).
Must be available to purchase in paperback format (though I’ll consider hardcover if it’s the only option). I don’t read digital or audiobooks. TIA!

Oh dude I feel you on needing something lighter after heavy reads! For ice skating specifically, definitely check out “Kiss and Cry” by Mina V. Esguerra – it’s got that cozy romance vibe without being too intense. “Spinning Silver” by Naomi Novik has winter vibes but might be a bit more fantasy than you’re looking for right now
Also totally understand the household situation – that’s rough but you gotta do what you gotta do to stay safe. Most of the ice skating romances I know are pretty hetero-presenting on the covers anyway so you should be good there
