I've tried a couple of books like 'All Our Shimmering Skies' (also written by Dalton, the author of Boy Swallows Universe) and some Tim Winton books, but nothing's quite the same.
also, sorry if this is way too niche for this thread – I couldn't find anywhere to put it
(also I put down Children/YA as apparently I needed a flair. however I'm not limited to young adult fiction)
