I'm looking for something that is not just caricaturicized gender roles (no hate, but avoid big wolf knots or nymphomaniac mystic monster girls). I enjoy sexual themes in books, but I'm not looking for something that is just about the sexual thrill of a non-human body, more so the horror aspect of it all? like something that really delves into the concept of a thing that loves you, but those feelings should not be reciprocated because that thing could very easily hurt you. I just read The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera and Loved it, so that's sort of the type of book I'm looking for. Something that explores other themes outside of romance. Something that's not just trying to be thrilling, sexually or otherwise. I mostly read non-fiction, so if you're thinking of not recommending classics, assuming I've read them, do not worry! I probably haven't read them. I love comics as well, so don't refrain. Also, it can be straight, gay, lesbian, whatever; I don't mind.
