Hi Guys,
Its me again.
As I mentioned in my previous post, the place I work for: The philosophy is simple, look for authors who don't get pushed by major publicity cycles. However we are doing a thing right now, so drop your recommendations for books one absolutely MUST know about from Caribbean region.
Some requirements:
The author MUST be from the region
The book must have been published post 2020
The book shouldn't be a historic setting
Today, during our discussion we realised there are lesser stories about the place, and a lot about the people if you know what I mean? Not the place in a touristy way but place in a "this is our home" sort of a way, where there is a story but the author also says sort of we love this place we hate this place but its ours ykwim?
Some examples I got from a source someone on my previous post suggested (gem of a person truly)
Wendy James Henry's Lore Folk, Zemis (a retelling of an epic poem).
