Hey guys, I'm currently extremely stressed over a school assignment where we have to pick different texts and analyse our opinions on them. We are supposed to pick two different texts and write a seperate analysis and then follow with a speech that compares aspects of both.
One specification that my teacher said is that for this assignment, the books have to have the main characters aged over 16 because thats what covers the standard "properly".
Now I've picked this short story called "The last night of the world" by Ray Bradbury which I thought was super interesting but I can't think of ANYTHING that it could be compared to because the majority of media I consume is pretty immature (lol).
This short story follows a couple that realise that everyone around them has had the same dream of the world ending and they are fascinatingly not panicked at all. They just accept it for what it is and carry out the night as usual. Heres the link if you want to have a read: https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/books/a14340/ray-bradbury-last-night-of-the-world-0251/
If you have anything that could be compared, contrasted or anything at all, please please PLEASE let me know.
