Generally looking for nonfiction books about the Catholic Church sex scandals, or really any churches, priests, or nuns abusing power.

Survivor's memoirs come to mind, but anything covering the topic would be greatly appreciated.

For victim’s books, I’ve read some by very public authors. They discuss everything, not just the church. Iirc they also do tackle more the effects of the conservative religious environments they were raised in, specifically in the public eye. They’re all fantastic books.

The house of my mother by Shari Franke (daughter of a popular family vlogger who is now in prison)

Counting the cost by Jill Duggar (that reality tv family with the rapist son)

I’m glad my mom died by Jeanette mccurdy (the provider for her family when she was on iCarly- have you heard of Dan Schneider?)

Shari and Jeanette were both raised Mormon, and the Duggar’s are something else that I can’t recall the name of. It might be the quiverfull movement.
