Obviously it was a mind-blowing read, I loved it, but one of the things I love the most was the afterword written by Erich Fromm. In my copy, after you get done reading the book, there's an afterword where he explains how even in the sixties, 30 or 40, years after the book is published a lot of aspects came to fruition. For example he talks about doublethink in reference to how people in the western world talk about living in a free world. Where that really means not that everyone in the world is free only the ones that stand against our enemies represent the want for a free world even though not such a world exists as we proclaim yet we still proclaim it.
My question is now in the year 2026 what do you think are the biggest examples of doublethink
