Nancy’s divorced and there’s a body in the recycling bin…?
Sounds more like a Kinsey Millhone/Sue Grafton mystery. What exactly makes this ideal for a “grown-up Nancy” novel?

How about book where the fictional girl detective has a real-life counterpart? [mynameistrouble.com](https://mynameistrouble.com)

Does it chronicle the time her and Indiana Jones dealt with those spies?
Seriously though this does sound fun

Is Nancy Drew in the public domain? If the character is, do these authors still need permission from the original author’s estate to create these new works with Nancy as an adult?

I don’t like the cash grab sound of this.
The character has already been imagined. Growing her up better have come with the original author’s rights.

I mean, always space for (yet another) Nancy Drew interpretation.
(But I feel Sara Gran’s Claire Dewitt already did it perfectly.)
