So, a while ago, I got into a couple of books called Supervillainy: and other Poor Career Choices by J.R. Grey, aka SoggyRedToast. Unfortunately, he seems to have dropped off after covid and it's left me hungry for more. It was about a morally grey guy who gets roped into becoming a supervillian in a semi-post-apocalyptic hero world.
Morally grey supervillian/hero is an interesting concept to me, and I would appreciate any recommendations for that as well. I've already read the Confession of a D-List Supervillian by Jim Bernheimer and enjoyed that too.
In the second book, the morally grey protagonist ends up in a lawless no man's land, and in order to meet the demands for his weapons and to maintain his power armor, he starts a workshop. Taking in street kids and taking care of them (for the sake of effiency mind you, not because he's soft (wink wink)). Kinda similar to Thaddeus from the Fallout show. If there's anything similar to that, I'd appreciate recommendations. Doesn't have to be in a supervillian/hero setting. Just a morally grey character that takes in kids (for exploitation, not generosity (wink wink)).
