I recently finished "Ants Among Elephants" by Sujatha Gidla and really enjoyed it. Reading from a perspective (Dalit) that is not often heard made it especially compelling. I learned a lot about Telugu and Indian society, politics, class, caste, and power struggles. It also just felt very smooth and engaging.
I also read "Dead Aid" by Dambisa Moyo. It was very thought-provoking, especially since I am interested in international development. There were parts I disagreed with, but I appreciated that it was accessible and easy to read.
I am looking for suggestions. I would like something that is not too difficult to get through, but still thought-provoking. I have not read for leisure in many years and am just getting back into it, so I am still figuring out what I like. Based on this, does anyone have recommendations?
