Please suggest a book to me that gives the same creepy vibes as the first few chapters of Stolen Tongues.

Just finished Stolen Tongues by Felix Blackwell and really enjoyed the book until the midway point and ending, so I would really like to read something that is as creepy as the start of the book, as it’s the first book that I’ve read where I’ve been genuinely weirded out and uncomfortable!
