I don’t see it on your nonfiction list, but it does look like you like memoirs, so I would recommend Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Sooooo good on audio.

    2. When it comes to audiobooks, the reader can really make an impact. Many of the audiobooks you have listed (including DCC) have great people reading them. Even if you have read the Lord of the rings books, and seen the movies, the audiobooks read by Andy Serkis are next level.

    3. Bit of a mix:

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – fantasy book. Nowhere near as thrilling as the blurb sounds but I still think it’s a special gem. It just FEELS magical. I love the way she writes.

Anne Of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery (audiobook adaption) – I was already familiar with this story (I grew up with a sister and she watched a TV adaptation). Rachel McAdams does a tremendous job of bringing the character to life. Fantastically narrated. It’s a great listen.

Dark Matter by Blake Crouch – the book or the audiobook. I’ve only listened to the audiobook but it was great. Presume the book is too. Probably my fave I’ve heard, after Project Hail Mary.

Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell or The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell or Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell or anything by David Mitchell – he’s one of my fave authors.

Babel by R.F. Kuang is really cool. I’d say it’s better to read because she really brings the world to life with little additional footnotes all over the place.

There Are Rivers In The Sky by Elif Shafak – I’ll be honest. I picked this up on a whim because the cover looked nice but I absolutely loved the story, too. Grandiose, yet personal and gut-wrenchingly sad at times.

The Dispatcher (audiobook) series of novellas by John Scalzi are great and narrated by Zachary Quinto!

Wonder by R.J Palacio (audiobook or book) for some wholesomeness

And it can never hurt to sling in some Iain M. Banks like Consider Phlebas – I’ve just heard a few of the audiobooks but I imagine the books are great too. Really good narrator for the audiobooks though.

Non-fiction: A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson- the narration is entertaining, and it is a funny and enjoyable read. The Right Stuff narrated by Dennis Quaid is also good if you’re interested in NASA/space race history.

Fiction: Circe by Madeline Miller- I’m a sucker for a good British narrator plus the book is fantastic. I also loved Howl’s Moving Castle, and The Ten Thousand Doors of January. If you’re a Nick Offerman fan, he narrates A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court and it is great.
