Good morning fellow readers,
I’ve realised that all the novels I know about motherhood are a bit bleak (my niche is literary fiction), and I wonder whether there are books outside that niche with a higher quotient of comfort, consolation, joy, solace, quietly upbeat endings? If you’re someone who prefers ‘book club’ reads, would you be so kind as to guide me?

She gets very honest but honestly I loved Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott. And all her subsequent books, too. They are just lovely and full of comfort.
