Hey, folks. I've been lurking here for a while, but I think this is my first post! Been feeling really isolated from the world lately, so I'm looking for stories to reflect that – something where the protagonist is living on borrowed time, doesn't belong in their world for some reason, or has a big secret they're keeping from everyone else because of who or what they are. I love fantasy and sci fi (and this kind of story would probably fall into those genres anyways), and generally prefer female protagonists, but I'm open to just about anything.
I realize that it might be difficult to offer specific titles without giving away the plot/any major twists, but I'm also worried that I'll run across book spoilers if I go looking for this kind of thing myself. Thanks in advance!
