I read The Kiss Thief and absolutely loved it. Nothing I have read since then has really hit, and I fear I may be in a slump.
I recently read the Artefacts of Ouranos series, Sacred Stones series, and Wraith Kings but I found myself uninterested and over them pretty quick. I like contemporary and romantasy, but usually on the darker side.
What I’m craving right now:

I need a virgin heroine and an MMC who is an asshole. I love when the MMC is possessive and controlling, but the FMC has fire in her personality and fights back.

Love political arranged marriage or a scenario where they are initially trying to kill each other (true enemies to lovers)

High stakes, emotional trauma they have to work through, questionable morals, or a good dark romance

I need me some smut, but I hate when they get together right off the bat or if they are hooking up every single chapter. I need the tension and the build-up

Bonus points if I cry. I really want something to rip my heart out and stomp on it.
