My small book club (of 3 members inlcuding me) takes turns picking the next book we will read. The genre varies. Some recent books we've read:

1.) (current read) Tell me What You Did. by Carter Wilson

    – So far, we really like this one and is something different we normally read. I also enjoy the audiobook side because sometimes, I don't have time to sit and read and can listen to the audiobook while at work.

2.) Tis the Season for Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth

    – This was nice, hallmark-y kind of read and I could definitely see myself maybe deep diving into the series on my own. It was a nice, simple read to discuss and talk with the group.

3.) for 100 days by Lara Adrian (my choice)

    – I was so-so about this book. Sure, it's good and entertaining but in my opinion… lacked depth. I may deep dive into the series but not so sure compared to the last book. I mainly picked it for the spicy contents and to see how the man in the bookclub would react.

4.) Deep End – Ali Hazelwood

    – okay this one! omg loved! I loved the audiobook! I loved the storyline, I loved how it was written! just…. *chefs kiss* I am tempted to pick another book from Ali Hazelwood the "love hypothesis" one that is rumored to be turned into a book but… not so sure.

We've also read some Grady Hendrix books (horror) and I enjoyed those but the other woman in our group may want some romance. I'm thinking something either dark romance with spicy chapters, or something horror entertaining. Nothing too gory though. Last "scary" book we read was American Psycho and that one took a toll on me… it was too much and just a lot to process. Not saying the book was bad just… a lot. We also like to have a themed dinner with our books or have a watch party if it is based/has a film adaptation.

For instance, when we read the Twilight series, we would have a fun themed watch party of each movie after each book and play a drinking game with the film. If anyone has any suggestions or questions that are willing to help me, I would greatly appreciate it!
