“one day” but better

I finished One Day by David Nicholls a bit ago and parts of it have really stuck with me. The writing style was great and the characters seemed very really, but I found it relied to heavily on clichés and had an extremely unsatisfying ending. I also really liked normal people. Would love a book suggestion somewhat similar to these. I love second chance romance books and things similar.
