After watching The Field and Days of Heaven I’m really interested in finding some books that channel some of that feeling of connection to the land through farming. Not concerned if it has romance etc, but ideally would like to avoid murder mystery (if at all possible).
I originally was thinking British countryside but seeing as neither of the films I mentioned are that, I’m open to any stories that fit the bill.
