I am looking for an 80s or prior book that makes me feel like I’m rich and working for a giant firm in New York (or any big city).
When I say this, I am already thinking of The Bonfire of the Vanities (which I have, but have not read yet).
I was wondering if there was anything thing else like this. It doesn’t have to be New York specific, but I like the big city feel. I also like books that are a spiral into descent as well, which, if you’re already at the top, the only way to go is down.
