I recently read Blindsight by Peter Watts, and while it was a tough read and probably the most hard science fiction book Ive read (it had a theoretical reference at the end discussing the science), the ideas in the book have stuck with me for a while now.
Other book have had a similar effect like the books sequel Echopraxia, most books by Adrian Tchaikovsky like Children of Time and Cage of Souls, The Three Body Problem by Lui Cixin and even less SiFi book like Station 11 and Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel, but recently I feel like the Sci-fi books I’ve been reading just don’t have that same “oomph” that has you thinking about the ramifications for days.
To make a long tangent short, I’m in desperate need for books that really stick with you, books that when you get to that part, makes you stop and think. Please and thank you.
