Hey Everyone,
hope you all are well. ramadan is in 2 days, my last few ramadans were not very good in terms of making myself better.
I tried to quit social media, other stuff for 30 days last year but eventually I just become frustrated and grumpy and gave in, the issue is not actually leaving youtube binges but the problem is the moment i leave doomscrolling I start thinking about my problems and issues, I think social media and other bad habits are just an escape from problems and trauma I had from my issues and my Ammi passing away few years ago.
I don't want to repeat the same mistake this ramadan, following is my plan for this ramadan:
- I've a freelance job that I'll focus more on
- 2)I'll not indulge in too much intrusive thoughts/overthinking
- no youtube/twitter/reddit for 30 days
- 4)read an interesting book that keep me engaged
if you guys have any book recommendation(aprt from Quran, ofc I'll read Quran), I would love to hear, I'm looking for something engaging and interesting that can keep me away from my bad thoughts.
