My 10 year old daughter has never liked reading until she discovered Raina Telgemeier. She read all of the books by this author from the library within 2 weeks, and it's so nice to see she found her niche. I'm not familiar with comic-style books. Does anyone have any recommendations for other authors my daughter might like who have a similar writing style? She's supposed to be reading at a 5th grade level. I tried asking a librarian and she said most comic-style books aren't above a 3rd grade reading level, but I'm not sure that's true?
