I'm looking for a series that's either Historical fiction or low fantasy. The main thing is I'm not interested in Magic. I don't care if it's there as long as it's not a big aspect of the story (like ASOIAF).
I recently played both Kingdom come deliverance games and loved the stories in those games. If there is a series that can give me the same "vibe" as those stories that would be a huge plus. I'm looking for more of a Medieval era type of story.
Here are some books I've already tried or have plans on trying:
• A song of ice and fire – probably my favorite book series
• Pillars of Earth – on hold at library but several weeks out
• The winter king by Bernard Cornwell – on hold but serval weeks out
• Saxon series by Bernard Cornwell – Watched the shows so not too interested in reading since I already know what happens and I want something new. Maybe interested in the future but not now.

if you’re looking for something similar to kingdom come deliverance, you should check out the accursed kings series by maurice druon. it’s basically game of thrones but set in actual medieval france with real historical figures. no magic at all, just political intrigue and power struggles that makes you realize where martin got lot of his inspiration from.
also since you mentioned cornwell, his grail quest series might work better than the saxon one since it sounds like you haven’t seen adaptations of it yet.
Check out Paul Kearney- The Monarchies of God series, fantasy with no magic.
The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay
