Hi! Are there any books that you would recommend for a beginner?
It would actually be my second time ever reading a book. My first book was "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss, since I got the whole trilogy for free, which is pretty lucky. But the book was a bit hard for me to understand. I did not read the English version of it, but the German translation, which did not help at all.
Ever since then, I don't really read much. The closest media that could come close to reading is maybe those random books that you would find everywhere in The Elder Scrolls game (if that even matters).
Also, I've been doing a bit of research, and my first choice was Malazan Book of the Fallen, but I've heard that the story isn't laid out in front of you, but it's kind of like a puzzle? You apparently have to figure it out yourself. It sounds a bit tiresome for me.
