Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston because the writing is so goddamn beautiful. Also she really captures the dynamics of love and the relationship between men and women so beautifully and accurately. Especially what it’s like when a man dominates a woman and loses her love and the way her heart closes after being mistreated.
