Boyfriend swears, SWEARS, he doesn’t like to read. I’ve tried over the years to spring books on him to try and entice him, with no luck. Last year, I saw Andy Weir had published a new book, Project Hail Mary, and boyfriend loved The Martian movie, so I grabbed PHM and kind of left it around his space, mentioning something about the guy who wrote that movie he loves. He read it in weeks, and then practically forced me to read it. It’s great, by the way! And we had a lot of fun gabbing about the plot points. A few months ago, I saw the new Dan Brown, The Secret of Secrets, and figured I’d try to replicate my experiment. Success! I’m finishing it now, and he’s walking around like the cat that ate the canary, because he already knows how it ends. It’s great to see him so excited about books.
So my question is, what other books can we share? He likes science and military genres, and I’m partial to mystery and drama.
Suggestions?

Michael Crichton and Blake Crouch are two authors y’all might enjoy. Both have science-forward thrillers. Jurassic Park is a classic. For Blake Crouch, try Recursion or Dark Matter (which also has an adaptation on Apple)
