I try to always alternate my reading between sci-fi and fantasy to mix it up a bit and avoid reading too much of the same thing. With sci-fi I've been reading and loving Red Rising, the Expanse, and most recently Hail Mary!
However, I'm stuck trying to figure out what fantasy to read next… I've read and loved all books in A Song of Ice and Fire, and while I didn't think I liked reading A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms as much, the current show is making me reminisce on how great it was! I also have read Between Two Fires which was also OK.
Mostly with the new A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms show, I'm really interested in a similar vein of book, with not too much magic, but morally questionable characters, twists and turns that keep you engaged and guessing, and a world that makes me feel like I'm in a Renaissance Faire! I have tried The Blade Itself, which I saw recommend often, and didn't end up finishing it, it never sucked me in. I also haven't read Fire and Blood, but I'm not really excited by the idea of reading a history book.
ChatGPT suggested Assassin’s Apprentice, The Justice of Kings, The Lies of Locke Lamora, The Iron King, and The Dragonbone Chair. But I'm not really sure if those are any good?
Thank you!

The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu. Similar to GOT but set in Asian-inspired world and based on Chinese history.
