I'm about 30 pages into the book and find myself a bit frustrated with the prose so far. Nearly every sentence outside of dialog and the short diary segments have the same structure: "She verbed", "They verbed", "[NAME] verbed", "The [NOUN] verbed". It's making for a bit of a clunkier reading experience than I was expecting based on the hype, and I do find myself intrigued by the premise, I just don't think I can roll with this prose for a whole book for it, alas.

Is there an intentionality to it I'm missing? Does it change up as it goes along? If it were certain segments or tones it was selectively used in I could get behind that, but this feels like it's going to be every part of the book and if it's for a particular artistic end I'm afraid I'm not yet seeing it.
