Hello everyone, first time in here. I’m turning 30 in March and I haven’t read a book since I was probably in high school (I know it’s crazy) I’ve always been a TV show/movie guy. I’m trying to adapt and grow a bit and get into reading. I’m visiting the library soon to just browse and was wondering what you guys would recommend
In terms of movies that I like, I’m a big movie buff and I love most type of movies. I really like the movies that make you stare at the screen when the credits roll cause you just need to process everything. For example, Parasite, Drive my car, shoplifters, A separation, etc. I love the movies that you think about a week later cause of how great it was
Idk how well that would transition into books. I don’t really know what I need right now. Ideally I would really like a page turner. I just want to finish a book that’ll make me think about it weeks later cause of how incredible it was. Turning 30 is just scaring me and I want to change a bit about my life and seeing friends and acquaintances on my social media post the books they read made me realize how much I’m missing out on books
Edit: and the books don’t have to be books that have movies as well. I like to separate the 2. Like for example I loved the Harry Potter movies and I watched them for the first time a few weeks ago but never have read the books
