I have just finished "The Island of Sea Women" by Lisa See and found it to be such a well rounded book but I was particularly captivated by how it weaved in historical events into the story. The book was heartbreaking but gave me glimpse into South Korean history that I didn't know about, that I further explored.
I'm looking for similar book about different parts of the world. Give me your favorite historical fiction books that weave history into great fictional story telling.
Ps Doesn't have to be as tragic as this book, this was a tough read for me, lots of tears.
