I want to dedicate a novel to my ex-girlfriend. Long story short: things didn’t work out, but after some time, she’s someone incredibly important to me. Now we live in different cities, and I was thinking of shipping a book to her.
She loves Sylvia Plath, Russian literature like The Master and Margarita, novels by Vasily Grossman, and poems. "Our" book was Normal People – for better or worse, I guess.
She loves reading, so chances are she might already be familiar with some suggestions – but I'm open to every one of them. She’s extremely sensitive, intelligent, and romantic in her book taste, but she wouldn’t like anything banal or too cheesy.
I'm just looking for something meaningful, real, bittersweet, that could maybe reflect our story.
Any recommendations?
