So, I don't know what to call this style of book or writing… but if you've read 'A Little Life' by Hanya Yanagihara or 'The Bee Sting' by Paul Murray you might recognize what I mean.
I want to find books in which parts or all of it are told in overview. In 'A Little Life' Jude's story is told in such a way that days, weeks and months pass by within a few lines.
From memory, other books like this include 'The Goldfinch' by Donna Tartt and Coco Mellor's novels.
I wish there was a name for this style, but it's something I've always enjoyed reading. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
