I'm looking for a book full of gorgeous prose and relatable characters who suffer devastating loss and somehow learn to heal. Give me families that fall apart then come back together, give me characters who run from good things, believing they don't deserve them. Give me a heart slowly opening to the persistent, patient love of another. Give me first loves and last loves, give me parents and children finally understanding each other. Give me bonds that transcend time, space, and death itself. Give me small, intimate moments that speak to what it means to be human. Break my heart, then heal it.
