First off, I am very aware that this is a slightly niche request.
I'm trying to get a ten-year-old into reading, ideally fiction and ideally for his age or older.
His main (really only) interest is dinosaurs.
Looking for dinosaur books only gives me books aimed at young readers or factual books. Occasionally that dinoporn subgenre that got memed to hell a few years ago.
Does anyone know of dinosaur fiction aimed at older kids/tweens? I'm thinking like what Redwall was to mammals, [mystery book] is to dinosaurs.

This won’t keep him occupied for long, but it is about dinosaurs, and if he knows the basics of the subject, he will get the little jokes and reversals. In the Past by David Elliot is a book of poetry about dinosaurs. It has great illustrations as well.
Supersaurs series by Jay Jay Burridge, the Microsaurs series by Dustin Hansen, The Extinction Trials series by S.M. Wilson (leans more towards YA).
Hope he enjoys!
Might be a complete miss, but Wings of Fire been around for a spell now. High fantasy scholastic books with dragons as the main characters. I know, I know. NOT DINOSAURS. But dragons kind of in the zone.
There is also something to be said depending on young man’s ability and maturity. Jurassic Park would be an option for some 10 year olds.
One of the magic tree house books goes back to dinosaur times.
I replied on your other post as well but the Dinotopia series by James Gurney is beautifully illustrated and a good start for a kid beginning to read. It’s about an island where humans and dinosaurs coexist. I actually came across it on another very similar post made here and I got the first book for my niece who is also around 10. She loved it.
I remember reading Raptor Red by Bakker when I was pretty young and enjoying it a lot. Its main character is a Utah Raptor in the Cretaceous. It came out around the time Jurassic Park did (which is also a great read and a lot different from the movie).
