title says it all. i'm in a book club and we are considering political/liberatory fiction that feels appropriate in the context of our current reality (i.e. horrific times of facism and violence in the US.) ideas like Fifth Sacred Thing or the Parable series. We just read Hospicing Modernity (nonfiction) which was incredible, but we're ready for stories and radical imagination now. GIVE US FICTION TO SPARK CONVERSATION AND CREATIVITY TO FUEL THE RESISTANCE!!!!

oh man the parable series hits so different right now, its wild how prescient butler was
for something that really gets the blood pumping id throw in “the water will come” by van jones – wait no thats nonfiction. scratch that. try “new york 2140” by kim stanley robinson, its got that climate/economic justice angle that feels super relevant and the community organizing aspects are chef’s kiss
