Please no stories where the protagonist gets to the end and decides that killing this person makes them just as evil and decide to be the bigger person. Eff that. I want to see a truly evil person get everything they have coming.
I’m finishing up Hunting for Adeline. This book has many flaws and lots of cringey tropes. But I do enjoy the revenge aspect of it. I wish it focused a little more on that and a little less on how deep and sultry the main characters’ voices are.
Pedos rule the world and will never be held accountable and I’m mad about it. Let me escape it a universe where justice exists.

*The Count of Monte Cristo* by Alexandre Dumas.
It’s long, but the revenge is beautiful and, in my opinion, absolutely worth the payoff. The middle third of the book is a bit slow, but it involves a whole bunch of detail which makes the final third ***so much more satisfying***.
