I’m currently reading and just about finished with “Tender is the Flesh” and I realized how satisfying a GOOD “short” book is!!!
I’ve found myself slightly in a reading slump so being 90% done with a book I just started a couple days ago has lifted my reading ego!
Please recommend me BRILLIANT “short” books! I prefer to read books that focus more on a woman’s pov — but I am open to male centered stories as well
Can be any genre 😀

If on a Winter’s Night a Traveller by Italo Calvino
Ocean At The End Of The Lane, Annihilation, Stardust, Child of God, Last Night In Montreal, Knockemstiff. All read this year, all 250 pages or less and all are 4-5 star reads in my opinion.
Fever Dream by Samanta Schweblin is superb!
I Who Have Never Known Men, Small Things Like These, A Psalm For The Wild-Built and it’s sequel, A Prayer For The Crown Shy, To be Taught, If Fortunate, Convenience Store Woman, The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Women Talking, Labor Day, The Remains of The Day, Piranesi, The Things They Carried
Murderbot is great. It can’t even be called a “male-centered story” since Murderbot has technically no gender 😅
Buddha in the attic by Julie Otsuka
