Hi there! im looking for a book or book series that was as gripping as the way of all flesh by Ambrose parry. to help with suggestions, what made me fall in love with the series is how well described victorian Edinburgh is. i truly felt scared to read and constantly worrying if the doctor would live another day. thats what kept me reading, the setting. I love victorian settings and I love it when books go dark and particularly when they describe in detail the gruesome stuff people had to do back then, like the surgeries the doctor carries out throughout the books. I love reading books about how people carry out murder and coerce others. why? im a criminologist so any books that is fictional that makes its world story and setting seem real based on my own research keeps me reading. so you got any reccomendations?
