I used to be a Christian and I’ve given up my faith because today Christian’s are very judgemental and hateful towards anyone, I don’t think lgbt is sinful, I don’t think wearing black or being a athiest, satanist or a witch disqualifies you from heaven and I wanna find books that might change my mind for the better on my confused religious beliefs and morals

Doing homosexual acts is literally a sin in the bible😂, I don’t know about the wearing black, have you not seen how priests dress?

What you think and what the truth is don’t have to agree. It’s our job to conform to the Gospel, not Jesus’ to appease man and their sinful desires.

Radical by David Platt might be what you’re looking for. I haven’t read it, but I’ve seen it recommended here before.

    4. I loved Tattoos on the Heart by Father Greg Boyle, the empathy it describes towards everyone, even ex-criminals was what I imagine Jesus would advocate for.

    5. Look into Matthew Fox and his work on creation spirituality, as juxtaposed with fall/redemption theology. Also highly suggest Jesus and John Wayne, by Kobes du Mez, for a look into how Christian ideology has morphed over the last century or so. Really enlightening.
