Something like the hunger games but for a more mature public?

I just finished reading sunrise on the reaping as the last hunger games book. I've loved the hunger games since I was little but found that even though I loved the book, the main pov being a 16 yo made it a bit difficult for me to really connect with the characters. I want something that's still fantasy, but I want the world building to be almost immaculate and I don't want the romance to be the main point, I want something I can still lose myself reading but that also makes me think and it's not just a YA fantasy book with dozens of +18 scenes. please and thank you!
