Someone please recommend me your most emotionally devastating romcom book. I want to FEEL something.

Hi everyone,

I’m in the mood for a romcom that will actually make me feel things. Not just cute banter and quirky hijinks (though I love those), but the kind of story where you’re laughing one second and then staring at the ceiling at 2am questioning your entire emotional stability the next.

I want:

* Electric chemistry

* Yearning. PINING. Mutual or one-sided, I’m not picky.

* Emotional depth (trauma, vulnerability, messy feelings welcome)

* A love confession that makes my chest physically ache

* But still funny and warm and satisfying by the end

Basically: I want to giggle, kick my feet, and then cry a little.

Contemporary preferred, but I’m open to anything if it hits hard enough. Bonus points if the characters feel painfully real.

Please give me the book that emotionally altered your brain chemistry.
