I'm looking to read some books with child characters (specifically elementary school age) that experience racism OR MCs that inflict racism on to others as children. Also, if there is an aspect of how their family or community has influenced their beliefs/behaviors that is even better. Preferably something set in 21st century. Any nonfiction books about the topic would also work.
Really I'm looking for something that can get me in the mind of a child to understand how children would process and understand racism happening in their school from their classmates/community.
