Hello everyone! I have never really been much of a reader, but recently I’ve been on complete bed rest due to a medical condition, so I decided to pick up reading to pass the time. I started 'The Wager' by David Grann, and surprisingly I absolutely loved it. This is the first book I’ve read where I didn’t have to force myself through it, I genuinely wanted to keep going and got completely pulled into the story. Now that I’m about to finish it, I want to keep reading and chase that same feeling again.
I was thinking of trying 'Killers of the Flower Moon' since it’s by the same author, but I’d love more suggestions as well.
I’m not sure what genre I like yet, but I think I enjoy gripping true stories, survival, history, or anything that feels as intense and well told as The Wager.
Would really appreciate any recommendations, especially books that got you hooked even if you weren’t much of a reader before..
