I shouldn’t be typing this but I’m desperate. Was in a multi vehicle accident where a dude who “didn’t see” his red light t-boned me and slammed my car into another one across the road. Thankfully everyone walked away (except the cars. RIP, Bessie) – but I’m pretty badly concussed with strict orders to do nothing (especially type on screens).

I need some books that will grab my brain by the balls and make it forget it’s hurting.

Any genre as long as the book is damn good.

Bonus points for top notch narrators – I’ll be listening, not reading.

Tia! And stay safe out there.

If you’re *listening* I can’t think of a better suggestion than Project Hail Mary.

    2. Glad you’re okay! Something like Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore may be good right now.

It starts off funny and dumb, but believe it or not, does get more contemplative as the novel goes along.

There’s a really great audiobook version of Ender’s Game with sound effects and different characters voiced by different actors. I liked World War Z’s audiobook as well.

Someone below mentioned Project Hail Mary. That narrator is really good – my wife will basically just go through audiobooks narrated by him specifically (I think they are mostly sci-fi).

    4. Sorry that happened to you 🙁 I personally love romance as a distraction to any and all of my problems. I don’t actually know which book are good on Audio but I’ll look around at my friends goodreads who only listen to audiobooks and see
