Love the premise of City of Bones by Cassandra Clare buuuut the MC storyline just leaves me wanting.
love: complex, hate-able villain, best friends, the Lightwoods, Alec and Mangus, brooding male MC who only has a soft spot for the artistic relatably awkward female MC
don't love: the love triangle that goes on way too long, the angst–Im a firm believer that if your romance is good enough it shouldn't need to rely on the 'when are they finally going to get together?!' or the 'will this be the thing that makes them break up?"
