any good Latin American or African books you’d consider a “classic”?

i'm tired of reading books praised for being "classics" always being from the U.S or Europe, books that are written by white people and contain so much disregard for people of color. fiction isn't the only thing i'll accept, social studies and historical texts would be wonderful too!!
