Hi! I’ve been in kind of reading slump lately as i’ve felt that most of the books i see are either fiction (which i LOVE but at the same time i feel like not always it gives me something to reflect on) or non-fiction with polarising reviews and sometimes boring and predictable takes. What’s a book that made you actually stop in your tracks and change your prospective in a meaningful way? Any topic and style welcome but something about queerness/identity/politics/equality/social studies as well as health care related would be even more awesome 🙂 thank you so much!

The war for civilization by Robert Fisk. It kicked off my realization that the news media has a bias to making money not even vaguely aligned to truth.
*The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks* is what you’re looking for. Hits on almost all your topics.
Macroscope by Piers Anthony. About what unlimited knowledge could do. Won a Hugo award. Made me feel smarter..
